Zenplus Private Limited is proud to announce its foray into veterinary care services through a prestigious government contract to operate Mobile Veterinary Units (MVUs) in Uttar Pradesh. Covering 14 districts in the state’s western region, Zenplus will deploy 92 MVUs to bring essential medical care to domestic and street animals, birds, and reptiles. This initiative, launched in partnership with the animal husbandry department, aims to bridge the gap in veterinary healthcare, especially in rural and underserved areas.

The newly deployed MVUs are specialized vehicles, fully equipped to act as mobile clinics, delivering treatments to animals that lack access to traditional veterinary services. These vehicles are an ideal solution for rural or remote areas where transporting animals to veterinary clinics may be challenging. The service enables quality animal care at their doorstep, improving not only animal health but also community well-being.

Each MVU is staffed by a three-member team comprising a veterinarian, a para-veterinarian, and a helper. They are well-trained to diagnose, treat, and handle a range of veterinary emergencies. The MVUs are equipped with life-saving apparatus to perform vaccinations, spaying and neutering services, and emergency care directly at the location.

50% of the MVUs will operate on pre-set routes, addressing diseased or injured animals along the way. The remaining 50% will respond to on-demand requests routed through a centralized call center via a dedicated toll-free number, 1962, based in Lucknow.

Animals will be treated directly at the location, eliminating the stress and logistical issues associated with transporting animals over long distances.

The initiative also addresses critical concerns such as disease prevention, which can have far-reaching effects on community health and safety. By offering timely medical care, the MVUs actively contribute to minimizing the spread of diseases, ensuring healthier animal populations and communities alike.
