Medical Mobile Units (MMU) services are setup to meet the technical and service quality standards for a Primary health Centre for people in remote, under-served and unreached areas. Around 60%of the total rural population lives below the poverty line. Given the vast number of people who don’t have access to basic healthcare, Mobile Medical Units (MMU), can help provide preventative and curative healthcare in remote and inaccessible regions in an easy and affordable manner, covering the rural areas in the vicinity where no healthcare facilities exists.
NHM under National Rural Health Mission(NRHM) set up MMU under Public Private Partnership to provide primary health care facilities. Under which one Vehicle is used to transport Doctors, Paramedics and other medical equipment’s.
Zenplus has an experience of operating over 150 MMU’s in an extreme demographic of Jammu & Kashmir, Kerala and Madhya Pradesh. Our MMU’s are staffed with medical team who are equipped to provide free-of-cost medical check-ups and trained to recognise symptoms of health related ailments, conduct basic diagnosis of common diseases, prescribe medication and referrals to specialised clinics in case of further medical complications.
