On the evening of June 5, 2025, Mrs. Anita Devi, wife of Mr. Kuldeep Kumar and a resident of Kheri Village, Uttar Pradesh, was preparing a meal at home. She placed dal in a pressure cooker and stepped out of the kitchen briefly to attend to some other work. Her seven-year-old son Krishna Kumar was in the kitchen at that time. Tragically, the cooker exploded with a loud blast, resulting in several injuries to the child. His entire body, including the face, chest, and stomach, was majorly bruised. The family rushed the kid immediately to the nearest District Hospital in Lakhimpur Kheri, where the doctors provided rapid emergency care and treatment.
As the child’s condition was serious and required higher medical care, his case was referred to KGMU Trauma Center, Lucknow. Our Advanced Life Support ambulance was dispatched immediately to ensure the smooth and timely transfer of the child. The ambulance number UP 32 EG 6246, equipped with EMT Amrit Bajpai and Pilot Ishrat Ali, attended to the patient throughout the transit, providing him with continuous monitoring and appropriate medical treatment. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Dhaniram Bhargav and Ambulance District Coordinator Mr. Anup Kumar remained in constant touch with the ambulance team, actively monitoring the situation and ensuring timely updates and support throughout the inter-facility transfer.
Despite the child’s fragile condition, our staff gave their best to make the challenging journey a smooth and comfortable one. Our team delivered optimal care and support with utmost dedication, ensuring the child’s condition remained stable throughout the journey. The seven-year-old Krishna Kumar was immediately admitted upon arrival at KGMU Trauma Center, Lucknow, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
